Intenet Safety

I cannot stress enough the importance of internet safety.  Starting in kindergarten, we begin to teach our children about stranger danger.  As they grow, we fail to follow up, teaching them the rampant dangers that come with the benefits of the internet.  Even though the links on my site are child friendly, please sit down and go over this presentation with your children before it is too late.

  • Keyboarding Games There are several different games on this site where students can keep up their typing skills as we move on to other things in class or just show off all that they have learned.

You can practice typing without looking at the keys by tucking a hand towel under the front of the keyboard and pulling it over your hands as you put them on the keyboard.

Remember, slowly and accurately- speed will come. It is more important that you get your message across than getting it done quickly.

  • More Keyboarding Practice
Remember to focus on your pressing the right keys not just pressing them fast- it takes more time to press delete and fix a word than to type it correctly in the first place. Speed will come with practice.
